March 2026 Roundup 🌼

Spring riding is HERE, new bikes are rolling in, and e-bike trails open April 1st!

Howdy,

Happy Spring!! We can’t pretend that we haven’t been loving this unusually nice weather! With warm, sunny days arriving earlier than expected, our bike season has kicked off in a BIG way. Trails that typically wouldn’t be rideable until mid-April are already in great shape, the gravel roads are primo, and you can even ride McKenzie Pass (most of it)! We’ve started the year off busier than we’ve ever been, by a long shot, and we want to make sure to thank all of our amazing customers for their continued support. YOU are what makes this community so special!

This month we’ve got: new bikes arriving daily, exciting e-bike trail access starting April 1st, a community education night, a rider spotlight that’ll blow your mind, and some seriously sweet local trail conditions. Let’s roll!

In This Edition:

🛠 Shop Updates

Service Queue:

Due to this unusually nice weather, we are about a week out on service. Please call and schedule an appointment to minimize the amount of time you're away from your bike. This is also helpful for us with limited storage. To schedule an appointment, please call us at 541-719-1213.

Shimano & SRAM Trainings:

Our tech team has been busy staying up to date on all the latest and greatest parts and how to service them! We've completed clinics from Shimano, SRAM, and more to make sure we're giving you the best service possible. Knowledge is power and so is a properly tuned drivetrain!

Five Pine Lodge Partnership:

Five Pine Lodge is stocked up with new cruisers and mountain bikes from Blazin Saddles! If you haven't stayed at Five Pine before, you are missing out. It's an amazing lodge and cabins with trails out the back door, mountain bikes provided, and cruisers for around town. We're also now a Priority Bikes dealer! Priority makes great quality belt-drive bikes that make for extremely low maintenance.

New Products Arriving Daily:

Bikes, parts, accessories, you name it! Our brand/product lineup is better than ever. Stop by to see what’s new from Orbea, Santa Cruz, Amflow, and Salsa, with more on the way!

Speaking of Salsa: their brand new gravel bike, the Salsa Flyway, is getting nothing but incredible reviews and will be in stock any day now, both demos and bikes for the floor. The Flyway replaces the beloved Warbird with a more progressive geometry, 50mm tire clearance, and a carbon frame that’s 20% more compliant. It’s built for everything from race tape to weekend adventures. Check it out here.

And Jacob’s new bike ^ is here. Custom colors on the Orbea Rallon, the bike that won Pinkbike’s Bike of the Year… this thing is SICK!! Check out the Orbea Rallon here.

⚡ E-Bike Trail Access Coming April 1st + Community Education Night

This is big news (and not an April Fools Joke)! As of April 1st, the Peterson Ridge Trail System and Elk Ranch Trail are now open to Class 1 e-bikes! This is a huge milestone for accessibility and helps achieve the goal of access to trails for users of all ages and ability levels.

We have the best lineup of e-bikes to get you out there! Orbea, Amflow, Santa Cruz, and Salsa!

E-Bike Education & Trail Information Night

When: April 8th | 5:00–7:00 PM

Where: Sisters Community Recreation Center (SPRD), 611 E Cascade Ave

Join us for an informative and engaging evening focused on the recent changes to our local trail system and the introduction of Class 1 e-bikes. We want to help our community better understand what this means.

We’ll cover the different classes and styles of e-bikes, which e-bikes are best suited for our local terrain, trail etiquette and how we can all coexist responsibly, and implementation plans, signage, and what to expect moving forward.

We’re pleased to have Stephanie Presley, Executive Director of Sisters Trails Alliance, joining us to discuss the rollout of e-bikes on select trails and future plans. Staff from the Deschutes National Forest will also be in attendance to answer questions and provide additional insight.

This free community event is organized and sponsored by Blazin Saddles. We’ve heard many great questions from riders, hikers, and community members, and we felt it was important to create an open forum to talk through “all things e-bikes” in a thoughtful and positive way.

Light refreshments will be provided. We hope you’ll join us for a constructive conversation about the future of trail access in Sisters!

🏆 Rider Spotlight: Brecken Takes on the World!

Brecken, who has worked with us for the past year, has been busy racing his mountain bike at the top level around the world and country the last couple months!

Racing in the UCI 17-18 category, Brecken has been throwing down on some seriously competitive courses:

4 days racing in Puerto Rico and 3 days racing in Fayetteville — all World Cup-style courses bringing in many of the sport’s top pros, including World Champion Riley Amos, as well as Christopher Blevins and Cole Patton.

For context, Riley Amos dominated the U23 World Cup circuit last year and is now racing at the elite level with Trek Factory Racing. Christopher Blevins had a record-breaking season with Specialized Factory Racing. To be lining up alongside these riders at 17-18 years old? That’s next level. Keep charging, Brecken! Sisters is watching!

🔧 Basics to Bike Maintenance Workshop

When: April 23 | 5:30–7:30 PM

Where: Blazin Saddles (that’s us!)

Hosted by: Sisters Park & Recreation District (SPRD)

Learn the basics for maintaining your bike from a Blazin Saddles mechanic! We’ll cover cleaning, airing up tires, lubing your chain, fixing a flat tire, and making basic adjustments. Whether you’re brand new to cycling or just want a refresher, this is a great opportunity to learn how to keep your ride running smooth.
